You control a young boy who finds and raises a kuwagata, or stag beetle. The main goal is to train your beetle and enter it into wrestling matches against other insects. You feed it different items to boost its stats, practice specific moves like flipping and shoving, and then take it to tournaments. The combat is turn-based; you select an attack and hope your beetle's strength and technique overcome the opponent. The pacing is methodical, focused on preparation rather than fast action. It feels strangely satisfying to nurture a digital bug into a champion through careful, patient effort.
