Bonkers is one of those weird little Genesis games based on a cartoon nobody really remembers—but honestly? It’s way more fun than it has any right to be. You play as the hyperactive Bonkers D. Bobcat, a rookie cop who basically stumbles through a bunch of mini-games while trying to impress his boss. There’s no real way to fail, which makes it perfect for just zoning out or playing with younger siblings.
The mini-games are all over the place—you’ll be chasing runaway pies, dodging falling anvils, and even doing this bizarre dance-off against a villain. The controls are simple, but some of the timing can be surprisingly tricky. I still remember getting weirdly competitive with the pie-catching one.
It’s not deep, but it’s got this goofy charm that makes it hard to hate. Definitely a solid pick if you’re in the mood for something light and silly.
