Game Overview
So Build It! - Das Bauhaus is this weirdly charming Amiga puzzle game where you play as Joey, a construction worker who suddenly wins the lottery. Instead of hiring professionals to build his dream house, he decides to DIY the whole thing—which, honestly, explains why everything’s a mess.
Each level is a grid of squares split into colored triangles. You’ve got to pick them up, rotate them, and match four of the same color to clear them. Sounds simple, but then walls block your path, new blocks drop in randomly, and these creepy little tool enemies start chasing Joey around. One touch and he’s done—no second chances.
There are a few power-ups to help, like a shield or a level skip, but mostly you’re on your own. The C64 version is a bit more chill (no timer), but the Amiga one keeps you sweating. Two-player mode exists, but you take turns—no real teamwork here. It’s oddly satisfying when you finally clear a level, though.
