Bust-A-Move 2 came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1999, developed and published by Taito. It was one of those straightforward puzzle games that felt right at home on the N64, offering a colorful break from the more action-heavy titles of the era.

You control a small cannon at the bottom of the screen, aiming and firing colored bubbles upward to match groups of three or more of the same color. The main goal is to clear each screen of bubbles before they descend and crush you. Key mechanics include banking shots off the walls for tricky angles, and using special bubbles that clear entire rows or colors when matched. The pace starts relaxed but quickly becomes tense as the ceiling drops lower with each shot. It feels satisfying to line up a perfect chain reaction and watch a crowded screen dissolve.
