So, Cadaver—this old-school Amiga gem throws you into the boots of Karadoc, a thief dumb (or brave) enough to raid a cursed castle packed with traps, monsters, and gods who apparently love riddles. The isometric view makes every corridor feel claustrophobic, and you’ll fumble with the controls at first—joystick for movement, keys for everything else—but once it clicks, you’re hopping over spikes, stabbing skeletons, and desperately trying to figure out which random object in your rucksack opens that weird door.
It’s not just hack-and-slash, though. Half the time you’re staring at some cryptic altar or lever, mentally shuffling through spells and items like, “Okay, does the skull go here or…?” And good luck with the jumping puzzles—precision isn’t Karadoc’s strong suit. But when you finally outwit a trap or melt a monster with the right spell, it feels like cheating death. Just don’t get too attached to your first few lives.
The goal? Kill the necromancer Dianos. But good luck even finding him when half the castle wants to turn you into a stain on the floor.
