So, Cadaver—this Amiga gem throws you into the boots of Karadoc, a thief dumb (or brave) enough to raid a cursed castle packed with traps, monsters, and riddles. Yeah, there’s treasure, but good luck getting past the necromancer’s tricks without burning through a few lives first.
You’ll spend most of your time poking around dimly lit corridors, figuring out which objects actually do something useful—some open doors, others just explode in your face. The controls take a minute to get used to: joystick for movement, keys for actions, and this clunky but weirdly satisfying icon system for using items. Jumping feels a bit floaty, but you’ll need it to dodge spikes or whatever else the castle throws at you.
Honestly, half the fun is stumbling into a room, realizing you’re missing some random key or spell, and backtracking while skeletons chase you. It’s got that old-school trial-and-error charm where every death feels like your fault. Just don’t expect the gods (or the controls) to go easy on you.
