Play Cadaver: The Payoff Online
Karadoc’s back—except the inn’s a bloodbath, so now you’re knee-deep in crypts dodging monsters and hunting answers (and maybe your unpaid wages). Bigger, nastier levels this time—that second one’s a real teeth-grinder.

Cadaver: The Payoff came out in 1991 for MS-DOS, developed by The Bitmap Brothers. It was a sequel to Cadaver, and it fit right into that era of isometric action-adventure games where you explored dungeons, solved puzzles, and fought monsters without much hand-holding. The graphics were detailed for the time, and the atmosphere was grim and claustrophobic, which suited the setting perfectly.
You control Karadoc, a mercenary who has to navigate through a series of interconnected dungeon levels. Your main goal is to survive, gather keys, solve environmental puzzles, and defeat enemies using a sword or a bow. The game is played screen by screen, with each area presenting new traps, switches to activate, and hidden passages to discover. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is high; you need to manage your health and ammunition carefully, and mistakes are often punished. Playing it feels like a tense, methodical crawl through a hostile underground world where every corner could hide danger or a crucial item.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
