Game Overview

Carrier Command blew my mind back in the Amiga days—it felt like playing three games at once. One minute you're plotting supply routes on the map like some naval admiral, the next you're diving into first-person view to manually pilot a fighter jet over volcanic islands. The whole "living ecosystem" of resource gathering and base-building still holds up—forget to defend that fuel depot you captured last night, and you'll wake up to enemy tanks rolling through it.

What really stuck with me was the tension between grand strategy and hands-on chaos. You could spend an hour carefully setting up a production chain across islands, then suddenly have to scramble fighters because the enemy carrier popped up on radar. And those amphibious tanks? Clunky as hell to drive, but nothing beats crawling one up a beach under missile fire to capture a factory. Just don't expect the AI to go easy on you—that rival carrier plays dirty.

It's one of those games where losing a single drone early can snowball into running out of missiles when you need them most. You'll remember your dumb mistakes longer than your victories.
