Play Carrier Command Online
Command your aircraft carrier, deploy tanks and drones, capture islands, manage resources, and outsmart an enemy AI in this strategic real-time challenge.
Carrier Command came out in 1988 for MS-DOS, developed by Realtime Games Software Ltd. It was one of those ambitious titles that tried to blend strategy, logistics, and real-time action, a combination that felt fresh at the time, even if the hardware struggled to keep up. You don't just play it; you manage it, constantly balancing resources and priorities in a way few other games of the era attempted.
You control a futuristic aircraft carrier, and your goal is to capture a chain of islands from an enemy AI carrier. The core gameplay involves deploying amphibious "Walrus" tanks and "Manta" fighter drones from your carrier, directing them to secure resources and eliminate enemy defenses. You handle everything from refueling and rearming to setting waypoints and monitoring radar, all in real time. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, but mistakes escalate quickly into frantic, unwinnable situations. It feels less like directing a battle and more like conducting a fragile, high-stakes orchestra from a cramped control room.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
