Play Cars Mater-National Championship (SP) Online
Race as Lightning McQueen and friends, competing in various challenges and mini-games to prove who's the fastest in Radiator Springs.

So I dusted off my old GBA and tried Cars Mater-National Championship (SP). It's a racing game where you play as Lightning McQueen and other Cars characters, but it feels more like a collection of mini-games than a proper racer. The controls are a bit stiff, like the cars are sliding on ice half the time.
First race starts in Radiator Springs, and the track is so narrow that bumping into walls is basically unavoidable. The AI opponents rubberband like crazy, which makes winning feel less about skill and more about luck. There's this weird rhythm to it where you'll be way ahead, then suddenly three cars zip past you in the last turn.
Some of the mini-games are kind of fun, like the demolition derby mode, but the main racing just doesn't feel satisfying. The graphics are decent for a GBA game, at least—recognizable characters and decent sprite work. If you're a huge Cars fan, maybe it's worth a quick play, but otherwise, it's pretty forgettable.
