If you grew up loving Cars, this DS game is basically a nostalgia trip with wheels. You’re racing as Lightning McQueen or Mater (or a bunch of other characters from Radiator Springs) across these colorful, slightly chaotic tracks—some are based on locations from the movie, others are just wild desert loops with way too many shortcuts. The controls are simple enough that you won’t be fumbling with the touchscreen mid-race, but drifting around corners still feels satisfying.
There’s a championship mode where you unlock new cars, and honestly? The tractor-tipping minigame is weirdly addictive. Graphics are about what you’d expect from an old DS racer—chunky but charming, with Mater’s grin taking up half the screen sometimes. It’s not gonna dethrone Mario Kart, but for a licensed game, it’s way more fun than it has any right to be.
