Chuckie Egg is one of those old-school platformers that somehow stays fun no matter how many times you play it. You're this little farmer dude (or dudette?) running around collecting eggs before the timer runs out, while these weird birds try to knock you off ladders. The controls are dead simple—just arrow keys and space to jump—but the levels get sneaky fast.
What I love is how eating the seed piles buys you extra time. At first you think "oh, I'll just grab eggs," but then you realize timing those seed pickups is the real strategy. The remake keeps the original's chunky pixel look, which somehow makes the birds even more ridiculous when they dive at you. It's harder than it looks, especially when you hit the later levels with disappearing platforms.
Perfect for when you want something quick but still need to concentrate a bit. Just don't blame me when you get obsessed with beating your high score.
