Game Overview
Crude Buster is one of those arcade brawlers that feels like it was designed to eat your quarters—in the best way possible. You pick from two beefy dudes (or unlock two more later) and just start wrecking everything in sight. The controls are simple—punch, jump, kick—but the enemies come at you fast, and before long you're dodging knives, flipping guys over your shoulder, and occasionally picking up a pipe to swing wildly.
The pixel art holds up surprisingly well, especially the explosions and those little details like how enemies crumple when you land a solid hit. The first level throws you right into a dockside brawl with guys in jumpsuits, but by level two you're already fighting weird cyborg ninjas? It makes zero sense, and that's kind of the charm.
Fair warning: it's tough. You'll die a lot until you figure out the rhythm of combat, but pulling off a perfect combo and clearing a screen feels amazing. If you grew up feeding coins into arcade cabinets or just love chaotic 90s beat-em-ups, this one's a blast.
