Play Crude Buster Online
Two oil-slicked beefcakes suplex cyborgs into next week, toss barrels like they're empty soda cans, and wrestle janky vehicles through streets that feel like an 80s action cartoon gone rogue. Grab a buddy and the screen turns into a glorious mess of flying bodies and crunchy synth riffs.

Crude Buster came out on the Sega Genesis in 1991, published by Data East. It was part of that wave of co-op beat 'em ups that flooded the system, a time when every other game seemed to be about walking to the right and punching things. This one stood out mostly for its weird, grimy charm and the sheer absurdity of its premise.
You control one of two oil-rig workers, muscled guys who fight through waves of mutants and cyborgs. Your main goal is to clear each screen of enemies before moving on, using a mix of punches, throws, and special screen-clearing attacks that drain your health. You can pick up and throw barrels, oil drums, and even stunned enemies, and the two-player mode turns the screen into a chaotic free-for-all. The pacing is fast and the difficulty is pretty unforgiving, with cheap hits and aggressive enemies. It feels like a messy, loud, and sometimes frustrating arcade throwback thatโs best enjoyed with a friend.
