I picked up Daredevil for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004, a time when licensed games were everywhere. It was published by THQ, and it tried to capture the feel of the character from the comics and the then-recent movie. You play as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer who fights crime as Daredevil, navigating a side-scrolling world of rooftops and streets.
You control Daredevil directly, moving through levels filled with thugs and bosses. Your main goal is to clear each stage of enemies, using a mix of billy club strikes and acrobatic kicks. The game uses a radar sense ability to highlight interactive objects and enemies, which is crucial for planning your attacks. Combat is straightforward but can feel repetitive; the difficulty spikes noticeably during boss fights. It feels like a straightforward brawler that relies heavily on its license for appeal.
