Play Dark Arena Online
You're blasting through dim lab corridors in a bulky combat suit, dodging screeching mutants that lunge from the shadows—the GBA's tiny screen somehow makes it feel even more claustrophobic. Four-player deathmatches turn into frantic rocket-launcher chaos where every corner could be your last.

Dark Arena came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Graphic State. It was part of that early wave of first-person shooters on the system, trying to bring a bit of that PC and console feel to a handheld. The hardware had its limits, but games like this pushed what was possible on a small screen.
You control a soldier in powered armor, moving through a series of sci-fi facilities overrun by hostile creatures. The main goal is to fight your way through each level, activating switches and finding keycards to progress deeper into the complex. Combat relies on swapping between a small arsenal of weapons, like shotguns and plasma rifles, to handle different enemy types. Exploration is screen by screen, with some hidden areas containing ammo or health packs. The pacing is deliberate, and the cramped corridors make encounters tense. It feels methodical and a little rough, but there's a certain satisfaction in clearing a room and hearing the silence return.
