Play Dark Rift Online
Pick a warrior caught between two cosmic forces, mash together stiff-but-satisfying combos, and survive the ridiculous final bosses that soak up hits like sponges. That samurai dude? Always the right choice.

Game Overview
Dark Rift is one of those weird, ambitious N64 fighting games that tried to stand out with its cosmic lore. You’ve got these two warring elemental tyrants—Core and Dark—both hunting for a third power called Light, and they’re using a tournament as bait to lure out its wielder. The setup’s more interesting than most fighters, even if the execution’s a little rough.
You pick from eight fighters (some are way cooler than others—I always went for the samurai-looking guy) and brawl through the tournament. The moves feel stiff at first, but once you get the hang of chaining basic attacks into special moves—button combos, classic 90s fighter style—it clicks. The final bosses, Sonork and Demitron, are absolute sponges though. Be ready for that.
It’s got that janky early 3D fighter charm, where half the fun is laughing at the awkward animations. Not a masterpiece, but if you dig obscure N64 gems, it’s worth a few rounds.
