Play Datach - Crayon Shin Chan - Ora to Poi Poi (Japan) Online

Slap cards into a scanner to watch Shin-chan wreak havoc—racing carts, drawing on walls, and generally causing pixelated chaos in this weird little NES toy. Half the fun is guessing what each card does since it's all in Japanese.

Game Overview

Ever wanted to mess around in Shin Chan's world like it's a digital sticker book? This weird little NES game lets you do exactly that. You plug in this clunky card scanner peripheral (Japan-only, of course) and play mini-games by swiping collectible cards—think tamagotchi-level chaos but with that little troublemaker drawing on walls and mooning people.

The whole thing feels like someone took a Saturday morning cartoon and turned it into an interactive toy. Some games have you racing shopping carts, others are just excuses for Shin Chan to cause pixelated mischief. Half the fun is figuring out what the cards actually do since everything's in Japanese.

It's definitely more of a novelty than a "real" game, but there's something charming about how unapologetically silly it is. Just don't blame me when you're three hours deep trying to scan that one wrinkled card that keeps erroring out.
