Play Death and Return of Superman, The on sega Online

I remember picking up The Death and Return of Superman for the Sega Genesis back in 1994, published by Sunsoft. It was one of those licensed games that came out during the peak of the 16-bit era, trying to capture the massive comic book event. The game didn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it stood out because it followed the story pretty closely, which was a big deal if you were into Superman at the time.

You control Superman at first, punching through waves of enemies until Doomsday shows up and changes everything. After that, you play as four different replacement heroes, each with their own moves; Superboy has his tactile telekinesis, Cyborg Superman uses laser beams, Steel swings a powerful but slow hammer, and the Eradicator has energy projections. The main goal is to fight through side-scrolling stages, clearing screens of enemies, throwing cars and debris, and facing bosses that require pattern recognition. The pacing is aggressive, and the difficulty can spike, especially during some of the later boss fights. It feels like a solid, sometimes frustrating, but mostly satisfying brawler that makes you work for every victory.
