So, The Death and Return of Superman on SNES—yeah, it's based on that iconic comic arc, but don't expect a perfect translation. You start off punching through waves of generic thugs as Superman, which feels decent at first, but then Doomsday shows up and... well, things get messy. The controls are a little stiff, and some of the later levels drag, but there's something weirdly satisfying about wrecking robots as Steel or blasting enemies with Superboy's heat vision. It's not the best beat 'em up out there, but if you're a Superman fan, it's hard not to get a kick out of seeing the whole saga play out in 16-bit.
