Game Overview
Death Knights of Krynn picks up right where Champions of Krynn left off—you can even bring your old party back, which is great because you’ll need every bit of their experience. This time, the undead are everywhere, turning familiar faces into enemies and flooding the land with rotting horrors. The atmosphere’s darker, and the fights feel more desperate.
One of the coolest things here is the Knight class, something you won’t find in regular AD&D games. They start strong but get even better when they pledge to one of three clans later on, each with its own flavor. And yeah, you have to bring at least one Knight—no sneaking past that rule.
You’ll split time between overworld travel and first-person dungeon crawling, with random undead ambushes keeping you on your toes. The combat’s still grid-based and tactical, but everything hits harder now—those skeletons aren’t just cannon fodder anymore. If you liked Champions, this one cranks up the stakes without losing what made it fun.
Just don’t forget to stock up on healing spells before heading into the ruins.
