Diddy Kong Pilot is one of those GBA racers that feels simple at first but gets surprisingly deep. You start with just Diddy and a basic track, but within a few races you're pulling off mid-air flips, dodging banana peels, and figuring out which shortcuts actually help versus which ones just slow you down.
The controls are tight, though the drifting takes some getting used to. I remember crashing into walls a lot early on before realizing you have to feather the turns just right. The power-ups are chaotic in the best way—nothing like hitting a rival with a missile right before the finish line.
It's not perfect—some tracks feel a bit samey after a while—but Diddy Kong Pilot has this weird charm that keeps you coming back for one more race.
