Game Overview

Disney’s Brother Bear on the GBA is one of those licensed games that actually gets it right. You start off as Kenai in human form—climbing rocks, dodging hazards—but things get way more interesting after the whole bear transformation thing kicks in. Suddenly, you’re lumbering through forests, swiping at wolves, and even using your bear strength to solve little puzzles. The switch between human and bear feels surprisingly fun, and the pixel art nails the movie’s vibe without looking cheap.

It’s not super hard, but there’s enough variety to keep it from feeling like a lazy movie tie-in. Younger kids will dig the story, but there’s some decent platforming here for anyone who grew up with GBA games. And yeah, the music’s got that nostalgic Disney charm—just don’t expect a full-on epic. It’s a solid little adventure for when you want something light and warm-hearted.
