Game Overview

Donald Duck in Maui is one of those Game Boy games that somehow slipped under the radar, which is a shame because it’s way more fun than it has any right to be. You’re basically guiding an extremely annoyed Donald Duck through tropical jungles, beaches, and caves—all while he mutters to himself and occasionally bonks enemies on the head. The controls feel surprisingly smooth for an old handheld title, and the levels have just enough hidden stuff to make backtracking actually enjoyable.

What really sells it, though, is the vibe. The sprites are bright and cartoony, the music’s got that goofy Disney charm, and the whole thing feels like playing through a lost episode of DuckTales. It’s short, yeah, but in a "one-sitting-with-a-snack" kind of way. If you’ve ever wanted to see Donald Duck faceplant into a palm tree, this is your chance.
