Ever wanted to run around stealing dreams with Doraemon? This weird little Genesis game lets you do exactly that. You play as Nobita (or switch to Doraemon later) chasing these goofy dream thieves through levels that feel like someone animated a kid’s notebook doodles—in the best way possible.

The gadgets are the real star here. You’ll fumble with the Bamboo Copter at first (why does it drift so much?), but once you get the hang of it, zipping between floating platforms feels surprisingly good for a 16-bit game. The Take-Copter’s even better—just don’t get too cocky or you’ll faceplant into spikes.

It’s janky in that classic early-90s way—hit detection’s a bit wonky, and some jumps require pixel-perfect timing. But there’s something charming about how faithfully it captures Doraemon’s vibe, from the silly enemy designs to the way Nobita trips over his own feet when you stop running. Definitely more fun than it has any right to be.
