Play Doraemon 2 - Hikari No Shinden Online

Wander through blocky manga-style worlds as Nobita or Doraemon, solving puzzles with weird future gadgets—float over gaps with the Take-copter, shrink down to explore tiny villages, or fish for clues in rivers. It’s got that janky N64 charm where the camera fights you sometimes, but the gadgets make it feel fresh.

Game Overview

Doraemon 2: Hikari No Shinden is one of those N64 hidden gems that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s a surprisingly solid adventure. You play as Nobita (or Doraemon, depending on the mode), wandering through bright, blocky worlds straight out of the manga, solving puzzles with gadgets from the 22nd century. The first time I used the Take-copter to float over a gap, it felt like the game finally clicked.

It’s got that classic N64 jank—some camera angles fight you, and the platforming isn’t always precise—but there’s something charming about how it captures the series’ goofy energy. One minute you’re fishing for clues in a river, the next you’re shrinking down to explore a tiny village. If you’ve got nostalgia for either Doraemon or late-90s 3D platformers, it’s worth dusting off an emulator for this one.
