Play Driver 2 Advance Online
You chase mobsters in tiny Chicago and Rio, tailing cars or smashing through missions in that janky-but-charming GBA 3D—mess up the tailing and you're done. Free roam's there when you just wanna wreck stuff.
Driver 2 Advance is one of those weird little GBA ports that somehow works despite being stripped down. You’re still Tanner, the undercover cop chasing mobsters from Chicago to Rio, but the story’s been chopped to bits—mostly told through static images and short text dumps between missions. Honestly, I barely followed the plot, but the driving’s the real draw anyway.
Chicago and Rio feel tiny compared to the console versions, but they’re surprisingly fun to tear through in that janky GBA 3D. Missions are a mix of tailing cars, smashing into targets, and the usual "get from A to B" stuff. The tailing missions? Brutal. Get too close, and you’re busted; too far, and you lose ‘em. There’s also a free roam mode if you just want to cruise around causing chaos.
Weirdly, they kept all the minigames from the PlayStation version—demolition derby, cone challenges, cop chases—and even threw in four-player link cable modes. It’s rough around the edges, but if you’re into arcade-style driving with a bit of ‘90s grit, it’s a solid time killer.
