Play Duke Nukem 64 Online
Duke’s still cracking jokes while you blast through aliens, just with less strip clubs and more burger joints—Nintendo cleaned him up. The Expander gun’s ridiculous, turning enemies into popping balloons, and four-player chaos never gets old.

Duke Nukem 64 came out in 1997 for the Nintendo 64, developed by 3D Realms and published by GT Interactive. It was a port of the PC original, Duke Nukem 3D, adapted for the console audience during a time when first-person shooters were still finding their footing on home systems. The game stood out for its attitude and interactivity, even if some of the more adult themes were toned down for the platform.
You control Duke, a wisecracking action hero, as you fight through levels infested with aliens. Your main goal is to stop an alien invasion, progressing through city streets, space stations, and movie sets. Signature mechanics include using a variety of exaggerated weapons, like the Shrinker and Expander, which change enemy size; interacting with many objects in the environment, from drinking fountains to destructible scenery; and hunting for keys to unlock new areas. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike in later stages, especially with limited saves. It feels chaotic and loud, but satisfying when you clear a room full of mutants.
