Play 007 - GoldenEye Online
Sneak through dam levels with a silenced pistol or go guns blazing—either way, those N64 controls somehow make popping guards feel perfect. Then grab three friends, plant mines in the Facility, and argue about who’s screen-peeking.

GoldenEye 007 came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1997, developed by Rare. It was one of those games that felt like it belonged on the console, arriving at a time when 3D shooters were still finding their footing outside of PC gaming. The game was based on the James Bond film, but it stood on its own as a substantial and memorable experience.
You play as James Bond, moving through a series of missions that require stealth, precision, and sometimes brute force. Your main goal is to complete objectives like planting explosives, rescuing hostages, or gathering intelligence. The game uses a mission-based structure with specific goals to accomplish in each level. Key mechanics include aiming down sights with precision, using a variety of real-world spy gadgets, and occasionally engaging in multiplayer deathmatches with friends. The pacing is deliberate, often demanding careful observation and planning, especially on higher difficulties. It feels responsive and tense, with each successful headshot or completed objective bringing a real sense of accomplishment.
