Play 007 - GoldenEye (EU) Online
You sneak through Soviet bases with silenced PP7s, then panic-spam the Klobb when alarms blare—later, you’ll plant mines in Facility’s bathrooms while your friends scream about Oddjob’s hitbox.

GoldenEye on the N64 is the game that made me fall in love with first-person shooters. You start off sneaking through the Dam level, and within minutes you're frantically headshotting guards while that iconic Bond theme plays in the background. The single-player missions nail that perfect mix of stealth and action—sometimes you'll creep through vents, other times you'll blast your way out with the Klobb (which, let's be honest, is terrible but weirdly fun).
But the real magic happens in multiplayer. Four friends, one tiny CRT TV, and endless arguments about whether Oddjob counts as cheating. The Facility map still gives me flashbacks of proximity mine traps near the toilets. It's clunky by today's standards, but there's something about the way the guns feel and the way screen-peeking becomes part of the strategy that modern shooters just don't capture.
Also, no one who played this will ever forget the satisfaction of unlocking 007 mode after beating the game on 00 Agent difficulty. The N64 controller might leave your hands cramped, but it's worth it.
