Play Eliminator Boat Duel Online
NES split-screen boat racing with alligators, nitro boosts, and slo-mo replays triggered by confused bikini models. Pure chaotic fun.
Eliminator Boat Duel came out for the NES in 1991, developed by Sculptured Software. It was one of those racing games that tried something a little different on a system packed with platformers and straightforward racers. You got a split-screen view, which wasn't super common, and it focused on boat combat instead of just speed.
You control a powerboat, racing against a CPU opponent or a friend. The main goal is to win each race by either crossing the finish line first or destroying the other boat. You collect weapon pickups like missiles and mines to attack, and you can also find nitro boosts for a quick burst of speed. The courses have obstacles like alligators and buoys to avoid, and crashing slows you down a lot. It's pretty challenging because the opponent is aggressive and the handling takes some getting used to. Playing it feels like a messy, unpredictable brawl on water where anything can happen in the last stretch.
