Excitebike 64 takes everything wild about the old NES game—those ridiculous jumps, the split-second landings—and throws it into full 3D. At first, it feels familiar, but then you hit a ramp at full speed and realize just how much air you can actually get. The physics are somehow both forgiving and punishing, which makes wiping out spectacularly half the fun.
You’ve got a few ways to play: race through a full season (good luck nailing first place every time), go head-to-head with friends, or just try to shave seconds off your best time. The special tracks are where things get weird—like motocross soccer, because why not? And yeah, they even rebuilt the original Excitebike track, pixel-perfect, just to mess with your nostalgia.
Oh, and if you’re the creative type, you can build your own nightmare tracks. Just don’t blame me when you accidentally make something impossible. The game’s got that classic Nintendo charm where it’s easy to pick up but secretly brutal if you want to master it.
