Play Exo Squad (Europe) Online
Battle through waves of robotic enemies using a jetpack soldier, a heavy tank, and a powerful mech in Exo Squad on Sega Genesis.
Exo Squad came out for the Sega Genesis in 1995, developed by Novotrade International. It was based on the animated series, and at the time, it was one of many licensed games trying to stand out on the platform. The game didn't get a lot of attention, but it had a certain rough charm that some players still remember.
You control three different units: a soldier with a jetpack, a ground tank, and a heavy mech. Each handles completely differently, almost like separate mini-games within the same mission structure. Your main goal is to fight through waves of robotic enemies, screen by screen, to complete objectives and push forward. The jetpack allows for vertical mobility, the tank offers heavy firepower but slow movement, and the mech is a slow, powerful brawler. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty ramps up significantly in later stages, demanding careful use of each unit's strengths. It feels clunky at first, but there's a satisfying rhythm to swapping units and clearing each challenging area.
