So you’ve survived the first Eye of the Beholder—congrats! Now Khelben’s dragging your party back into trouble, this time near the creepy Temple Darkmoon. People are vanishing, shallow graves keep popping up, and yeah, it’s exactly as ominous as it sounds. The game drops you straight into those shadowy forests, no hand-holding, just your party and whatever’s lurking in those towers.
If you played the first one, you’ll feel right at home—same first-person dungeon crawling, same real-time combat where positioning actually matters (hint: clumping up = bad idea). No automap, so good luck remembering which twisty corridor had the pit trap. You can import your old party or roll fresh characters, though I’d recommend keeping at least one thief unless you enjoy setting off every dart trap in existence.
They’ve added way more illustrated cutscenes this time, which helps break up the maze grind. And the puzzles? Let’s just say you’ll be scribbling notes like it’s 1991 all over again. The Archmage isn’t paying you to slack off.
