Play Eye of the Beholder II – The Legend of Darkmoon Online
Darkmoon’s dungeons don’t just kill you—they make you map every twist by hand while something gnaws at your ankles in the dark. That grid-based panic when your torch flickers out? Pure D&D torture.

Eye of the Beholder II: The Legend of Darkmoon came out in 1991 for MS-DOS, developed by Westwood Associates and published by Strategic Simulations. It was part of that wave of first-person dungeon crawlers that really pushed the limits of what PCs could do with graphics and atmosphere at the time, before 3D accelerators changed everything.
You control a party of up to six adventurers, moving screen by screen through the twisting, multi-level dungeon of Darkmoon. Your goal is to uncover the source of a spreading evil and put a stop to it. You'll fight monsters in real-time combat, manage spells and equipment carefully, and solve spatial and inventory-based puzzles. The game is deliberate and often difficult, demanding patience and attention to your resources. It feels like a tense, methodical crawl through a place that does not want you there.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
