Play Fantasia (World) (Rev A) Online
Guide Mickey Mouse through colorful levels, jump and dodge to hit musical notes, defeat enemies, and collect fragments to progress in this rhythm-based adventure.
Fantasia for the Sega Genesis came out in 1991, developed and published by Sega. It was part of that wave of movie tie-ins on the system, trying something a little different with its music and rhythm focus instead of just being another platformer.
You control Mickey Mouse, or sometimes just his enchanted broomstick, through levels inspired by segments of the film. The main goal is to move screen by screen, using timed jumps and careful positioning to hit musical notes, defeat enemies, and collect enough musical fragments to advance. The controls have a certain floatiness to them; jumps feel weighty, and landing precisely on platforms or enemies takes practice. The difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially in later stages where timing becomes everything. Playing it feels like trying to conduct an orchestra while hopping on one foot, a strange but persistent kind of challenge.
