Game Overview
Fantastic Voyage on the Amiga is one of those weirdly specific movie tie-ins that somehow works. You're piloting a microscopic submarine through a scientist's bloodstream, dodging antibodies and squeezing through tight veins like some kind of biological obstacle course. The first time an antibody blob smacks into your sub and that energy bar drops, you'll panic—trust me.
What makes it interesting is how it mixes shooting with almost puzzle-like navigation. You’ve got to backtrack sometimes to find hidden circuit boards (there are nine total), and those narrow passages? One wrong move and you’re scraping the walls, losing precious health. The oxygen and fuel pickups add just enough tension—run out, and it’s game over, no matter how good you are at shooting.
Oh, and here’s a tip: if you take out three enemies without missing, you get a shield refill. Feels like a reward for staying precise when everything’s trying to bump you out of existence. It’s a short but weirdly immersive trip—just like the movie, but with more button mashing.
