Fantastic Voyage came out for the Atari 2600 in 1982, published by 20th Century Fox. It was one of those games that tried something a little different, shrinking you down to explore the human body at a time when many games were still about shooting aliens or racing cars.

You control a microscopic submarine inside a patient's bloodstream, navigating through arteries and veins. Your goal is to destroy blood clots and collect enzymes while avoiding white blood cells and other hazards. The game uses screen by screen exploration, with each section presenting new obstacles and a timer that adds pressure. If you accidentally shoot a healthy cell, the patient's life meter drops; run out of time or health, and it's game over. The pacing is tense, especially near the end of each stage when you have to eliminate the final clot quickly. It feels like a careful, high stakes race against the clock.
