Cookie Monster Munch is this weirdly charming little Atari 2600 game where you basically play as a blue, cookie-obsessed muppet. At first it seems simple—you just wander through these blocky mazes picking up cookies and dropping them in a jar. But then things get chaotic.

The early levels ease you in with just a few cookies to collect, but by game three you're scrambling to grab nine of them while Cookie Monster does this hilarious little victory dance between rounds, munching each cookie one by one. Then suddenly the rules flip—now you're racing against a timer, carrying multiple cookies at once, or even playing as the "Cookie Kid" while a very confused Cookie Monster chases you like some kind of fuzzy blue Pac-Man ghost.

My favorite part? Game ten, where the maze disappears completely except for quick flashes when you grab a cookie. It turns a kids' game into this weirdly tense memory challenge. Also, the way Cookie Monster just casually hops fences when he smells cookies is low-key terrifying.

It's definitely aimed at little kids, but there's something oddly satisfying about the whole thing. Just don't blame me when you start humming the theme song.
