Fight Fever came out in arcades in 1994, developed by Viccom. It was one of many fighting games trying to grab a piece of the Street Fighter pie, and it had a certain charm that was hard to ignore, even if it wasn't the most polished game on the block.
You pick a character, each representing a different country with some truly outlandish designs, and then you're thrown into one-on-one battles. The main goal is simple: deplete your opponent's life bar before they deplete yours. The game has a few unique mechanics, like being able to perform a desperation move when your health is critical, and some characters have weapons or projectives that change up the usual fist-and-foot combat. The pacing is a bit slower than some of its contemporaries, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly. It feels like a rough but earnest attempt to capture the energy of the era's bigger hits.
