Flipull: Plotting came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, published by Taito. It was one of those late-era puzzle games that felt a bit more cerebral than the usual action fare, fitting right in among other thoughtful titles as the NES library matured.
You control a cursor to slide entire rows of colored blocks, flipping pairs to match their hues and clear them from the board. The goal is to eliminate all tiles before the timer runs out, but every row shift affects the entire playfield, forcing you to think several moves ahead. The mechanics are simple at first, but the puzzles quickly demand precise planning as new colors and more complex layouts appear. It feels like quietly untangling a stubborn knot, where one wrong move can leave you completely stuck with no way out.
