You could be a trader hauling cargo between sketchy outposts, a bounty hunter chasing down pirates, or just some guy who accidentally shot a police ship and now has to outrun the entire galactic navy. The freedom is ridiculous.
What’s wild is how massive the universe feels. You can land on planets, skim fuel from gas giants, or get hopelessly lost in some backwater system because you misjudged the hyperspace jump. The first time I tried docking without autopilot, I smashed into the station like a drunk moth hitting a porch light. But when you finally pull off a slick trade route or take down a pirate wing, it feels earned.
Just don’t expect pretty graphics—it’s all wireframes and spreadsheets, but somehow that makes the scale even more impressive. You’ll either bounce off it in five minutes or lose weeks to it.
