Game Overview

Future Bike Simulator came out on the Amiga in 1990 from Hi-Tec Software Ltd. It was one of those games that tried to capture the futuristic racing vibe popular at the time, putting you in control of a weaponized hoverbike. The visuals were typical for the era, with a pseudo-3D perspective that gave a sense of speed, even if the graphics were a bit rough by today's standards.

You pilot the hoverbike down a never-ending tunnel, constantly swerving left and right to avoid obstacles and enemy bikes. Your main goal is survival, shooting down foes with your mounted weapons and collecting cash they drop to upgrade your speed, armor, and firepower. The pace is relentless; you're always moving forward, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as more hazards and aggressive enemies appear. It feels tense and demanding, requiring sharp reflexes to navigate the narrow passageways without crashing.
