Galmedes is one of those classic arcade shooters where you pick a pilot—Foo or Bar—and blast through waves of enemy ships in a desperate fight to save your galaxy. The evil dictator Gildy’s forces are everywhere, and your only hope is this experimental weapon strapped to your ship. It starts simple, but once you grab power-ups from downed enemies, things get wild.
There are three weapon types: a straight laser (blue), a spread shot (orange), and this weird purple one that fires forward and backward. Holding down fire charges a massive burst attack, which is clutch when you’re swarmed. The best part? You can switch weapons on the fly if you’ve collected more than one. Boss fights are chaotic, and playing co-op with a friend just doubles the mayhem.
It’s got that old-school arcade feel—fast, punishing, and way too easy to lose an hour to "just one more run."
