Gardia is one of those classic arcade shooters where you're blasting everything in sight while dodging an absurd amount of enemy fire. Your plane has two attacks—a rapid-fire shot for airborne enemies and slower, heavier missiles for ground targets. At first, I kept forgetting to switch between them, but once you get the rhythm, it feels surprisingly tactical.
The power-ups make a huge difference—grabbing them turns your wimpy starter plane into this screen-filling death machine, which you'll absolutely need by the time the first boss shows up. And yeah, it's only four stages, but they get brutally hard on the second loop. The pixel art explosions never get old, though.
