Play Gem Smashers (U)(Trashman) Online
You control some fuzzy little guy instead of a paddle, bouncing it into blocks to uncover hidden exits while that catchy GBA soundtrack loops. Before you know it, you're deciphering block patterns like some kind of rodent-powered archaeologist.

Gem Smashers came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2003, published by Metro3D. It was one of those puzzle platformers that felt right at home on the GBA, a system full of inventive, smaller-scale games that didn't need a big name to be engaging.
You control a small, fuzzy creature, using it like a living ball to bounce into colored blocks and break them. The goal is to clear a path to the exit on each screen by shattering all the blocks of a specific color. The key mechanics involve studying the layout to find the right sequence to break blocks, as some will only become vulnerable after others are destroyed; you also need to avoid enemies and hazards that can send you back to the start of the stage. The pace is deliberate, more about observation and timing than speed, and some screens require multiple attempts to figure out. It feels like solving a compact, interactive logic puzzle with every new room.
