Play George Foreman's KO Boxing (Europe) Online
Pick Foreman, throw slow-mo punches that actually land sometimes, and try not to get frustrated when your dodges feel like you're underwater. It's janky, but that left hook knockout animation never gets old.
George Foreman's KO Boxing came out for the NES in 1992, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was one of the later boxing games on the system, arriving at a time when players had already seen a few attempts at the sport. It didn't try to reinvent the wheel, just offered a straightforward take on boxing with a famous name attached.
You control George Foreman or one of several fictional opponents, working through a career mode to become the champion. The main objective is to win fights by knockout or decision. Signature mechanics include a stamina bar that drains with each punch or block, requiring careful management, and a dodge system that uses the D-pad to sway away from incoming blows. The pacing is deliberate, almost sluggish, with punches feeling heavy and deliberate rather than quick. Matches can be difficult due to stiff controls and aggressive AI that capitalizes on mistakes. Landing a clean combination and watching your opponent stumble back before hitting the canvas provides a genuine sense of impact.
