Game Overview

George Foreman's KO Boxing on the Sega Master System is basically what happens when you take Punch-Out!! and give it a 90s makeover with big George himself. It’s got that same arcadey feel—dodging punches, waiting for openings, and trying not to get your head knocked off by some ridiculously tough opponents.

The sprites are chunky in that classic SMS way, and the controls are simple but satisfying once you get the timing down. Some of the later fights get brutal, though—I swear the AI reads your inputs sometimes. Still, landing that perfect uppercut and watching Foreman’s signature grin pop up after a KO never gets old.

It’s not as polished as Punch-Out!!, but if you’re into retro boxing games, this one’s a solid round in the ring.
