Play Ghouls ‘n’ Ghosts Online

Ghouls ‘n’ Ghosts picks up right where Ghosts 'N Goblins left off—except this time, Arthur’s in for an even wilder ride. Just when he thought he could relax after saving Princess Prin-Prin, some demon king named Lucifer (or Loki, depending on which version you’re playing) shows up and zaps her soul right out of her. Classic demon behavior.

So back into the fray Arthur goes, swinging his sword through graveyards, haunted towers, and a frankly excessive number of skeletons. The first few levels feel familiar if you played the original, but then things get weird—like, "climbing a vertical tower while dodging lava" weird. And yes, you’ll still lose your armor and end up fighting in your underwear at some point. Some things never change.

This time around, Arthur’s got a few new tricks. You can finally attack upwards (thank goodness), and those treasure chests bursting out of walls might give you a sweet new weapon… or turn you into a duck. The golden armor is the real prize though—charge up for screen-clearing lightning or even summon a clone of yourself. Just don’t get too attached to any one weapon; you’ll lose it the second some wizard decides you’d look better as an old man.

It’s brutal, it’s ridiculous, and somehow, you’ll keep coming back for more. Good luck—you’ll need it.
