Ginormo Sword looks like some old Atari game at first, super blocky pixels, super simple animations. But give it five minutes and you’ll realize there’s actually some solid gameplay here.
You’ve got 16 zones to fight through, each with its own little map. Clear out all the monster nodes, take down the boss, and move on. The whole thing runs on mouse controls, so you’re just clicking to swing your sword (which, by the way, starts out kinda wimpy). But the upgrades make a real difference, by the time you’ve saved up for a few, you’re slicing through enemies way faster.
It’s one of those games where the simplicity hides how satisfying it gets once you’re in the rhythm of it.
